The Bears were 15-9 (6-7) in a great Pac 10 league. They have no bad losses (unless you want to count Utah) and 3 quality wins (USC, @ Wash St., @ ASU). They also had a 5-3 road record. Compared to other teams at the time, Cal was in the at-large pool. With their RPI dropping into the 80s and being 6-8 in Pac 10 play, they will likely drop out unless they sweep the Washington schools at home this weekend. Keep in mind that the bubble is VERY weak this year. This was posted before Cal lost to Stanford on Feb. 24.
